What is energy storage?

It consists of systems or equipment that enable energy to be stored so it can be used at a time other than when it was produced. In the case of renewable energy, this allows energy to be stored at times when there is high production, to be used at times of peak demand.

  • Why manage energy?

    Renewable energy is not manageable. That is to say, the energy is mainly produced when there is wind or sun. Using energy storage, we succeed in making renewable energy manageable.

  • Energy is stored like this

    For example, in the case of photovoltaic production, maximum energy generation occurs at midday, whilst the highest peaks in demand are usually at the beginning and end of the day. By installing a storage system, we can move the times of maximum solar generation to the times of peak demand.
