Our mission and purpose are to contribute to the transformation of the Iberian energy sector, reconciling the decarbonization objective through renewable energy with the local interests of the communities where the infrastructure is located.

With our extensive presence across the Iberian Peninsula, we aim to provide distinctive value throughout the entire value chain, promoting local job creation, talent development, and innovation.

A reflection of our commitment.

Through the Proyecto Territorios , we put into practice our commitment to the sustainable development of the regions where we operate, placing our expertise and business knowledge at the service of local needs. Our goal is to become part of the community and actively contribute to its social and economic growth. This commitment is implemented through a Social Contribution Strategy linked to our activities and tailored to the specific needs of the areas where we develop our renewable energy projects.

 

To achieve this, we allocate specific funding during the construction and operational phases of our facilities to launch initiatives agreed upon with local stakeholders, fostering relationships built on trust and proximity through active listening and dialogue. These actions aim to maximize the positive impact of our presence by strengthening the business ecosystem, promoting local employment, talent development, innovation, and other initiatives that contribute to the economic and social development of the municipalities where we operate.

Our areas of action

Socioeconomic development

We support local projects that improve infrastructure and municipal services in the communities where we operate, as well as those that help strengthen their business ecosystem.

Digitalization and connectivity

We contribute to the development of connectivity infrastructure that ensures the population’s access to basic services. In addition, we promote a digital approach among local businesses in the areas where we operate.

Education

We plan to launch training programs in various fields, with a primary focus on improving the competencies and skills that facilitate access to the labor market.

Environment

We support initiatives aimed at protecting nature and the environmental heritage of the regions, including those focused on promoting sustainable agriculture and livestock farming.

Arts y Culture

We collaborate on projects aimed at protecting, promoting, and preserving the unique art and culture of each region.

Social well-being

We support initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of society as a whole, with special attention to vulnerable groups.

Health

We contribute to the promotion of sports and healthy lifestyle habits.

Humanitarian aid

We provide support in emergency situations that may arise in the areas where we operate.

  • We support UNICEF and SOS Children's Villages in response to the crisis in Ukraine

    As a show of support for the refugee crisis in Ukraine, we made a €50,000 donation to UNICEF and SOS Children’s Villages to support their work on the ground.

  • We work with suppliers committed to sustainable development.

    AUARA, the first European company to develop 100% recycled water bottles

    In addition, the company allocates all of its dividends to launching initiatives that facilitate access to safe drinking water for those who need it most.

  • Sponsorship of the Conference “Elio Antonio de Nebrija, Humanism and Power

    We were sponsors of the International Conference *“Elio Antonio de Nebrija: Humanism and Power,”* the most significant event held to date on the life and work of Spain’s first humanist.

  • Renewable Energy Outreach Program for Professional Formation Teachers

    In 2022, we organized a series of outreach sessions on renewable energy development, the energy transition, and new energy storage technologies, with the aim of enhancing the technical skills of teachers who deliver vocational training programs related to our sector.

  • Sports sponsorships.

    In 2022, we sponsored the final of the Spanish Men's Futsal Super Cup, organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation in Jerez de la Frontera, a municipality in the province of Cádiz where the El Barroso wind farm is located. We have also supported various local sports teams, such as Atlético de Zamora.

  • Training initiative with the Sotavento Foundation.

    With the aim of bringing renewable energy closer to schools and raising awareness about climate change and the responsible use of energy, Capital Energy has participated in a collaboration agreement with the Sotavento Foundation to promote renewable energy at CEIP O Coto de Negreira (A Coruña).

  • Agreement at the Adisbismur occupational centre in Outes

    We has signed a collaboration agreement with the Asociación de Persoas con Discapacidade da Bisbarra de Muros (Adisbismur) Association of People with Disabilities of Bisbarra de Muros) whereby it undertakes to set up a self-consumption facility in the occupational centre located in the parish of Valadares, in the municipality of Outes.

  • Our collaboration with the Fundación de Discapacitados of the A Barcala region

    We donated €3,000 to the Fundación de Discapacitados of the A Barcala region. We channelled this initiative through its corporate venturing vehicle, Capital Energy Quantum, which through its association with the app Liight.

  • “Operación Kilo” by the Madrid Food Bank

    In December 2020, we supported the Food Bank of the Madrid Region, raising more than €12,000, equivalent to 11 tonnes of food destined for the neediest families at Christmas. This volunteer initiative was launched by the employees of Capital Energy with the enterprise’s support.

  • Plataforma Innovación Energía Positiva+

    This is a ground-breaking initiative in Spain that seeks projects related to the fields of environmental sustainability, mobility, social impact, digitalisation, telecommunications and Industry 4.0, always from the perspective of energy.

  • Energy saving in communities: lighting

    As evidence of Infinita Energía's support to local communities, last September we collaborated with the voluntary firefighters’ association (Associação Humanitária dos Bombeiros Voluntários) in Santarém (Portugal) by replacing the lights in their headquarters with LED lighting. The aim of this initiative was to improve the energy efficiency and reduce the environmental footprint of this building, which is the venue for firefighters' meetings and also serves as a sports hall and refuge for pilgrims.

  • Donation of material for ventilator development

    In order to fast-track research to produce respiratory equipment for hospital ICUs, Capital Energy supported the Ennomotive innovation and engineering platform in the global development of a low-cost prototype ventilator: the OxyVita Emergency Ventilator.

  • Donation of beds to Gregorio Marañón and Clínico San Carlos hospitals

    In order to increase the healthcare resources available to Covid-19 patients in hospitals where the demand for care was highest, Capital Energy donated 50 hospital beds to Hospital Gregorio Marañón and 23 hospital beds to Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid.

  • Donation of PPE for health centres.

    To support the healthcare professionals who are on the front line of the fight against Covid-19, Capital Energy donated 12,000 masks, 400 coveralls, 36 surgical goggles and 306 units of sanitiser gel to the Hermanitas de los Pobres, Hospital de la Paz, Hospital General Villalba, Hospital Quirón Madrid and Central University Hospital of Asturias in Oviedo.
