Capital Energy has renewed its brand image

By: Capital Energy · 10 Nov 2020

Madrid, 10th November 2020. Capital Energy, a Spanish energy company founded in 2002 with the vocation of becoming the first vertically integrated 100%-renewable energy operator on the Iberian Peninsula, has decided to revamp its brand image to go with the rapid growth process it has been experiencing over the last few years.

The new logo evolved, but still shows the Company’s essence and values - sustainable, innovative, digital - looking to the future and the role renewable energy is going to play in the eco-friendly, fair energy transition.

The design process therefore had a clear aim: effective embodiment of the brand’s promise to respect, care for and protect the planet. With this idea, the figurative symbol of planet Earth, shown on the previous logo, has become a single set as a more abstract, open and inclusive depiction.

The new logo was also an exercise in improving legibility of the name and put it in a better position visually. The name, Capital Energy, is on two lines but in a single colour, which helps to put over greater vibrancy and rhythm, creating an identity that will enable it to continue to grow as a brand and as a Company.

Spanish and with 100%-renewable energy

Capital Energy is a 100% Spanish Company that came into being almost 20 years ago. Initially it was a wind and solar energy developer. Recently, due to the launch of its retail arm, Capital Energy reached its strategic aim of being present on the entire renewable energy value chain in 2020: from development, where the Company has a consolidated position, to construction, production, storage, operation and supply. The aim is to take the 100%-renewable energy that will be produced with our own wind and solar installations in Spain and Portugal to the end consumer.

The Company’s process of growth can also be seen in its team, which has gone from 30 people to more than 270 in the last two years, working in 12 offices in Spain and Portugal. Capital Energy envisages ending this year with more than 310 employees, with this number growing to 450 in 2021.

Capital Energy has put a business plan in motion that forecasts making investments of more than €10 billion to develop one of the largest renewable energy portfolios, mainly wind but also solar, in Spain and Portugal: 30 gigawatts (GW) power, of which more than 6 GW already have access and connection permits granted.
