Capital Energy, official renewable energy sponsor for Atlético de Madrid

Both companies sign an agreement for the next three seasons

• The energy company will be the main logo on the front of the training shirts for the first men’s team, and the red and white club Academy for all national and European competitions.

Madrid, 6 July 2021.- Capital Energy, a Spanish energy company that was founded in 2002 and aims to become the first vertically integrated 100% renewable operator on the Iberian Peninsula, and Atlético de Madrid have signed an agreement by which the company becomes the official renewable energy sponsor of the red and white club for the next three seasons.

Thanks to this agreement, Capital Energy will be the main logo on the front of the training shirts of the first men’s team and of the Academy for all national (League, Cup and Super Cup) and European (UEFA Champions League) competitions.

Also, as an official Atlético de Madrid renewable energy sponsor, Capital Energy will have brand presence on the LED ring and press backings during all of the League and Copa del Rey matches, as well as, among other things, an exclusive area for activities at the stadium fan plaza.

In alignment with this agreement and within the firm commitment of both organisations to sustainable development, there are also plans for Capital Energy and Atlético de Madrid to collaborate on implementing various sustainability initiatives.

After signing the sponsorship, Miguel Ángel Gil, managing director of Atlético de Madrid, highlighted the significance of the agreement with Capital Energy “thanks to its strategic nature, where we undertook to commit to renewable energy, as well as partnering with a company that shares the values that set us apart.  This alliance provides us with an unbeatable possibility to work, develop and promote exciting sustainability projects as a team”.
