Positive Energy+ will boost 12 Spanish start-up projects with €4,000,000
- The driving companies also make other support available to the start-ups, such as pilot projects, technological co-development and venture client.
- During June, it is planned to close off the collaboration agreements to develop and implement their solutions within a maximum of one year.
The Positive Energy+ platform estimates an initial investment of €4,190,000 for the 12 start-ups definitively selected from the call for tenders launched on 7 April. The initiative, that received 396 proposals in just 13 days, was successfully closed off on 19 April and some of the finalists were announced during the Positive Energy+ Demo Day virtual event.
The platform, which is a pioneer in Spain, is driven by Enagás, Red Eléctrica, CLH, Iberdrola, bp, EIT InnoEnergy, Acciona, Capital Energy and DISA. Institutions like Startup Olé, ASCRI, El Referente, Socios Inversores, Byld, Everis, Dentons, PKF Attest innCome and Pons IP also collaborate on the initiative.
The projects, from Spanish start-ups and scale-ups at varying levels of maturity, offer innovative solutions for the new decarbonised energy model, along with proposals to mitigate the economic and social impact of COVID-19. Apart from financial support, the start-ups get support to develop pilot, technology co-development and venture client projects. In some cases, several development companies will invest in pilot projects, or carry them out jointly with the start-up itself.
The start-ups/scale-ups, focusing on COVID-19 social impact, decarbonisation, renewable energy, energy efficiency, storage, sustainable mobility and the circular economy, are as follows: Solatom CSP S.L, Hybrid Energy Storage Solutions S.L (HESSTEC) Pastoria Project, S.L, Nautilus Floating Solutions, S.L, PFT Engineering Development, Light App SL, Cedrion Consultoría Técnica e Ingeniería S.L, Ariema Energía, Cedanjobs (with its Purefy product), Voltaware Services Limited, BeePlanet Factory S.L. and Batterycare SL .
The driving companies completed their analysis at high speed and will close off the collaboration agreement, subject to the relevant administrative processes, with each company in the next few weeks so that they can develop and implement their solutions in a maximum of one year. In addition, and given the quality of the proposals received, the promoters will continue to analyse several of the projects that were not selected, for possible support in the future.
