Capital Energy, the Best Place to Work in Asturias in 2021

  • The consultancy Great Place To Work® has announced today the 1st edition of the Best Workplaces Asturias 2021 Ranking.
  • This award aims to recognise annually those enterprises located in Asturias that are exemplary workplaces, based on the employees’ perception and on the good practices and policies of their organisational culture.
  • 100% of the 30 Capital Energy employees in the Principality believe that it is an excellent place to work and, furthermore, 96% feel proud to say that the work for the Company.
  • Currently, 47% of the Company’s staff in Asturias are women, and nationally the figure sits at 44%.

Oviedo, 25th February 2021. Capital Energy, a Spanish energy company founded in 2002 with the vocation of becoming the first vertically-integrated 100%-renewable energy operator on the Iberian Peninsula, has been recognised as the Best Place to Work in Asturias in the Best Workplaces in Asturias 2021 Ranking.

This recognition was announced today during a virtual event organised by the consultancy Great Place to Work®, a leader in identifying and certifying Excellent Places to Work.

Following am examination of the organisation’s environment, which includes a global questionnaire to employees, Capital Energy obtained a recognition that accredits it as an organisation with a culture of high confidence, capable of attracting and retaining talent in Asturias.

In particular, the results of the survey show that the Company’s 30 professionals in the Principality particularly value the good working environment. 97% think that Capital Energy is a pleasant place to work. In addition, there is a high degree of pride involved in belonging to the Company, since 96% claim to be proud when they say where they work. The way in which the Company contributes positively to society is also a notable attribute for 97% of Asturian employees.

Among the main initiatives launched by Ángela de Pozo, People Director of Capital Energy, in the field of Human Resources, are the promotion of a good working environment from the point of view of the selection process, flexibility, smooth, two-way communication between management and the rest of the team; and the growth opportunities of all employees with a career plan, stability, and merit-based recognition.
